ABOUT US
Environmental Policy
It is the policy of Arrow Group Global Limited and its employees to protect and enhance the environment in which it operates. This is achieved by active encouragement to participate in minimising the effects of its activities in the local and national environment. This policy sets out our environmental priorities as a company.
Transparency
- We monitor our Carbon Footprint and publish our annual Carbon Reduction plans with a goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050.
- Our product specification sheets include sustainability information such as breakdown of materials, recycled content and recyclability.
Materials & Product
- We promote the use of non-harmful materials and the use of recycled and recyclable products and materials where economically viable.
- Timber products are sourced from FSC/PEFC accredited sources.
- We build durable, long-lasting furniture which lowers environmental impact as it does not require frequent replacement.
- Products are designed to require minimal packaging, and we have a programme in progress to eliminate single-use plastics from our packaging altogether.
Distribution & Transport
- All efforts are made to reduce levels of pollution from our delivery transportation and from company vehicles.
- We optimize transportation routes to reduce fuel usage.
- The large majority of company cars are fully electric or plug-in hybrids.
- Environmentally friendly commuting is encouraged with safe and secure storage facilities for those who choose to cycle rather than drive to work.
- We have moved our warehousing and distribution hub to the Midlands to avoid delivery vehicles travelling across the UK from Suffolk
Utility Usage
- In 2023 we completed a solar PV installation at our HQ, so that much of our power now comes from a renewable source.
- We encourage both energy efficiency and a reduction in levels of water consumption. Energy efficient lighting is used, and all computer terminals are fitted with energy saving modes and switched off each evening to prevent energy drain.
Waste Disposal
- We aim to minimise the levels of waste and reduce the level of materials consumed together with the encouragement to always use recyclable material where practical.
- The disposal of waste is always carried out in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Regulatory compliance
- Arrow Group and its employees always comply with, and where possible exceed, the requirements of existing and future environmental legislation and regulations.
Continuous Improvement
- We have a Carbon Reduction Plan where we are committed to achieving Net Zero in line with the Science Based targets set out by the UNFCCC, i.e. to achieve Net Zero no later than 2050 and target a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030.
- We maintain ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems certification.
- We actively maintain and promote our environmental policy, reviewing it at least annually.
These aims are monitored and reviewed regularly against regulatory and circumstantial changes to ensure maximum compliance and participation. We communicate our environmental objectives and our performance against these objectives throughout the Organisation and to interested parties.
